This is a leadership-based scenario where the learner must make appropriate conflict resolution decisions. The scenario involves the nurse (learner) observing a situation where the assigned nurse’s actions (professional misconduct) have resulted in a patient’s injury. The assigned nurse does not want to report or document the situation for fear of negative repercussions and is trying to intimidate others into also not reporting the incident. As a peer, you must address the situation using conflict resolution skills.

Game synopsis:

This virtual simulation involves an ethical situation where a patient is injured due to the inappropriate use of restraints. The assigned nurse refuses to document the incident and demands another nurse who witnessed the injury not to disclose the incident.
