Game synopsis:
A healthcare provider (HCP) in an HIV clinic is getting ready to intake a client with a new HIV diagnosis. The client, Mr. Bhaadarao, immigrated to Canada 3 years ago from Rwanda. He does not have a primary care provider. After attending a community public health event, he was given, and encouraged to take, a free HIV self-test. His self-test was positive. He followed the instructions from the self-test and went to a walk-in clinic to get bloodwork. The walk-in clinic has since referred him to an infectious disease clinic. Mr. Bhaadarao has since missed the two previous appointments. In this first intake the HCP will identify priority needs based on symptoms and social determinants of health.
