In the first virtual simulation of this series, the patient Leo Martin, arrives at the hospital emergency room experiencing moderate headache, dizziness, and light sensitivity. His French speaking with limited English oral and written comprehension.

GAME 2 – Active Offer of French Language Services – Pediatric patient visiting the outpatient clinic

A 5-year-old patient (Philippe) has an appointment with the gastroenterologist at the pediatric outpatient clinic because of recent weight loss. He has been experiencing loss of appetite, nausea, abdominal pain and intermittent vomiting for the past month and is now being assessed in the outpatient clinic. Philippe’s mother is bilingual (French and English) but Philippe only communicates in French and has minimal understanding of English.

Un patient de 5 ans (Philippe) a rendez-vous avec le gastroentérologue de la clinique pédiatrique ambulatoire en raison d’une perte de poids récente. Selon sa mère, il a perdu l’appétit, a des nausées, des douleurs abdominales et des vomissements intermittents depuis un mois et il est maintenant évalué dans la clinique ambulatoire. La mère de Philippe est bilingue (français et anglais), mais Philippe ne communique qu’en français et ne comprend que très peu l’anglais.
