In alignment with CAN-Sim’s vision of excellence in simulation education and research through innovation, the 2027 CAN-Sim Conference theme is “Simulation for Impact: Technology and Innovation for Real-World Readiness.” The conference program will address learning needs of nursing simulation educators from novice to expert, from academic, hospital and community-based settings, using any clinical simulation modality ranging from low fidelity to high fidelity and including simulated patient simulation, virtual simulation, and virtual/augmented reality simulation.

This interactive workshop is ideal for educators and health professionals. Participants will be guided through the process of writing learning outcomes, creating assessment rubrics, developing decision point maps, scriptwriting, filming, and game assembly. Participants will create a virtual simulation that will be profiled at the CAN-Sim 2025 Conference on May 18th.
Conference Venue
The CAN-Sim 2025 Conference will be held at the Performing Arts Centre of the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Accommodations will be available in the UPEI Residence with 1, 2, or 3 bedroom options. Free parking is available for conference attendees.
