In alignment with CAN-Sim’s vision of excellence in simulation education and research through networking, the 2025 CAN-Sim Conference theme is “Empowering Nursing Simulation Educators Through Collaboration, Innovation, Scholarship and Mentorship.” The conference program will address learning needs of nursing simulation educators from novice to expert, from academic, hospital and community-based settings, using any clinical simulation modality ranging from low fidelity to high fidelity and including simulated patient simulation, virtual simulation, and virtual/augmented reality simulation.

Preconference Virtual Simulation Design Workshop at BCIT

This interactive workshop is ideal for educators and health professionals. Participants will be guided through the process of writing learning outcomes, creating assessment rubrics, developing decision point maps, scriptwriting, filming, and game assembly. Participants will create a virtual simulation that will be profiled at the CAN-Sim 2025 Conference on May 6th.

The CAN-Sim 2025 Conference will be held at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada in the NW4 and SE2 Buildings. Lot Q (paid parking) is available for conference attendees.
