Local Anaesthetic Systemic Toxicity (LAST) to Code Blue in the OR (Alberta Health Services)

The scenario focuses on the care of an adult anesthetized patient who received a local anaesthetic
for pain control. They experience a Local Anesthetic Systemic Toxicity (LAST) reaction, which
progresses to a Code Blue and then to Return of Spontaneous Circulation (ROSC). The learners are in 2
teams. Team one starts the scenario and works through the LAST treatment. Team 2 is called in at
about the halfway point to manage the Code Blue.
