This virtual simulation game explores a stressful interaction between a HCP and a parent of a teenage patient who is refusing to immunize her immunosuppressed child. The learner explores effective communication strategies and methods of debriefing following the interaction.
This learning experience focuses on a virtual healthcare encounter between a nurse or nurse practitioner working in primary care and incorporates the CASE Method, a framework that health care providers can use to guide conversations with parents who are vaccine hesitant regarding immunizations for their children.
