The patient is a 22-year-old male who sustained a head injury after a motor vehicle collision (MVC).  The patient was found to have a GCS less 8 in the E.R and was intubated.  CT scan showed diffuse cerebellar edema.  AN ICP monitor /drain was placed by Neurosurgery and the patient was transferred to the Neurological ICU. The patient’s mother is at the bedside.
