The podcast topics focus on healthcare simulation and related training that can help healthcare professionals and improve patient safety through theory and research. Sim Nurse NZ is an inclusive podcast for all healthcare workers, especially nursing, featuring discussions, interviews and special guests. The podcast aims to support teams in setting up and maintaining safe simulation-based education programmes and to connect with other healthcare professionals who have an interest.

The Canadian Alliance of Nurse Educators Using Simulation or CAN-Sim is a collaboration of nurse educators for excellence in healthcare simulation education and research. Connection of nurse educators and allied health professionals from across Canada and beyond internationally to share their knowledge, resources, and expertise in areas of clinical simulation, which also includes research and education. Innov2Learn is a new sponsor and collaborator with CAN-Sim. CAN Sim Annual Conference: Abstracts Open
The Canadian Alliance of Nurse Educators Using SImulation (CAN-Sim) 2025 conference will occur May 4 – 6, 2025, at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. In alignment with CAN-Sim’s vision of excellence in simulation education and research through networking, the 2025 CAN-Sim Conference theme is “Empowering Nursing Simulation Educators Through Collaboration, Innovation, Scholarship and Mentorship.” The conference program will address the learning needs of nursing simulation educators from novice to expert, from academic, hospital and community-based settings, the use of any clinical simulation modality with a range from low-fidelity to high-fidelity and includes simulated patient simulation, virtual simulation, and virtual/augmented reality simulation. Congratulations to the first Canadian Certified Simulation Nurse Educators (CCSNEs)!
Nurse educators from across the country contributed to the development and review of the first Canadian Certified Simulation Nurse Educator (CCSNE) exam and online preparatory course, and were the first to receive the CCSNE designation in advance of the first cohort to write the upcoming exam in March, 2019.
